Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: August 5, 2025
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Scholars' Cabin website or engaging in any services offered, including but not limited to College Planning Services, academic tutoring, and educational consulting. By accessing the site or enrolling in services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services Overview
Scholars’ Cabin provides academic tutoring, college admissions consulting, and related educational support services. College Planning Services include comprehensive, one-on-one consulting designed to assist students throughout the college admissions process. While we are committed to supporting clients to the best of our ability, specific outcomes such as college admission results cannot be guaranteed.
We operate independently and do not accept compensation or incentives from educational institutions or programs for placements or referrals. Our services are strictly student-centered.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age or use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By engaging our services, you confirm that all provided information is accurate and that you have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.
3. Payment Terms
All fees must be paid in full prior to the start of services. Payment secures your service package and guarantees your place on our client schedule. Clients are responsible for full payment regardless of the outcome, including college admission decisions or school placements.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy (College Planning Services)
-
A client may terminate the agreement within one (1) week of signing without incurring any fees.
-
If a client terminates services after two (2) weeks of program commencement, a 15% cancellation fee will apply (calculated as 15% of the selected package).
-
After two (2) weeks of service, all fees become non-refundable.
-
No refunds will be issued if a student withdraws, is expelled, or leaves their school/program for any reason after service has commenced.
Scholars' Cabin also reserves the right to terminate the service agreement with 30 days' written notice if a student fails to follow guidance, misses deadlines, or does not actively participate in the outlined program.
5. Service Expectations
We do not complete application materials, essays, or assignments on behalf of the student. For ethical and educational reasons, all work must be the student’s own. Our role is to guide, support, and advise based on the selected service package, including strategy development, timeline organization, and application review.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the website or services. Misuse includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized access, attempts to interfere with the website’s functionality, or violating any local, state, or federal law through use of our services.
7. Intellectual Property
All materials provided by Scholars’ Cabin—whether on the website, in consultation, or as handouts—are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or use any content for commercial purposes without our written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
All services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee admission to any school, college, or program. Results vary based on the student’s effort, qualifications, and the competitive nature of admissions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Scholars’ Cabin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or services.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these sites.
